About Engineering Plots
Engineering Plots is a free online tool for drawing the frequency-domain and stability plots used in control systems: Bode plots, Nyquist diagrams, and root locus diagrams. You enter a transfer function and the plots are generated instantly in your browser.
It was built to give students and engineers a fast, no-friction way to visualise transfer functions — no installation, no account, and no cost. Everything runs client-side, so the systems you enter never leave your device.
What you can do
- Draw Bode magnitude and phase plots with gain and phase margins.
- Plot the full Nyquist diagram, including the behaviour at infinity.
- Draw the root locus with asymptotes, breakaway points, and imaginary-axis crossings.
- Enter systems as coefficients or typed polynomials, and add a lead/lag compensator.
